How do I fix stucco and repaint it?

My retaining wall had the stucco coming off in pieces. So I pulled the pieces off. I now want to stucco it, and repaint all of the previous stucco and the new stucco. Is it possible for a non-professional to do this? Also, how do I do this. Thanks!
Yes, maybe I should get a bid first. It is a somewhat small job.

Answer:
Yes a non-professional can do it, but it usually looks like a non-professional did it. If it is just a small area you still may want to do it yourself. But a good stucco job should not do this unless the wall has been damaged. You may want to get a bid from a reputable stucco business first. Repainting should be done with a spray outfit. Make sure you know what you are doing as repainting your neighbors house because of over-spray could really cost a lot. You can find some stucco information on the net or you may just ask your local hardware store about doing it and see if they will give you some information.
