Do I need to dig trench around stucco house and paint drylock on foundation to waterproof it?
I'm going to seal and paint the exterior walls as well but am receiving conflicting information regarding the foundation. Some say that sealing the foundation will trap more mositure in while some say it keeps water from seeping up through the slab. Please advise. Thanks.
Answer: it all depends on where the water is i have seen springs in peoples basement so you can do very little in that situation yet if you are in a shallow area i would seal exterior block and install plastic corrogated membrane along exterior of walls this will prevent water from getting in it make sure you know where it is coming from first then decide
